I began collecting jokers after visiting
an antique collectors fair in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England. At this fair was
a solitary joker collector selling old packs of playing cards.
This man gave me the inspiration to begin my collection.
I am hoping that this site will enable me
to increase my collection, by exchanging duplicates with other joker collectors
from around the World.
The photograph, on my welcome page, is of
Neuschwanstien Castle, situated in Germany 55 miles (90Km) south west of Munich.
It was built between 1864 - 1886 for Ludwig II, King of Bavaria. Unfortunately
he lived there for only 3 months before going mad and drowning himself in a
nearby lake
